Duties
- Operate power tools such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other landscaping equipment to maintain lawns and gardens efficiently
- Perform mowing, edging, trimming, and blowing to ensure clean and manicured landscapes
- Assist with landscape installation projects including planting, mulching, and hardscape setup
- Conduct routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Support tree care activities such as pruning, trimming, and basic tree health assessments
- Help with irrigation system installation and repairs to keep landscapes properly watered
- Participate in snow plowing operations during winter months to ensure safe access and clear pathways
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and maintaining landscaping equipment
- Experience with lawn care techniques including mowing, edging, and fertilization
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices such as pruning, planting, and soil preparation
- Understanding of horticulture principles for plant health and garden design
- Ability to operate snow plows and perform winter storm cleanup when needed
- Strong work ethic with the ability to follow safety protocols and work effectively outdoors in various weather conditions
