We are currently seeking a friendly, professional, and highly organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our growing team. This position serves as the first point of contact for our patients and plays a vital role in ensuring a positive patient experience from the moment they arrive.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Location: Baltimore, MD 21210 (In Person)

Position Summary

The Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for providing outstanding customer service while managing daily front office operations. The ideal candidate is personable, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome patients, visitors, and vendors in a warm and professional manner.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate team members.
  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
  • Register new patients and accurately update existing patient records.
  • Verify insurance eligibility and collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances.
  • Maintain accurate patient demographics and documentation.
  • Assist with scanning, filing, data entry, and other administrative duties.
  • Communicate effectively with providers, clinical staff, and coworkers to support efficient patient flow.
  • Respond to patient questions and provide information regarding practice services.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area.
  • Uphold HIPAA standards and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and contribute to a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous medical office, receptionist, customer service, or healthcare experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Comfortable using computers, electronic medical records, and standard office equipment.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
  • Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) electronic medical records is a significant advantage and highly preferred.
  • Professional appearance, positive attitude, and commitment to patient satisfaction.
