Job Summary:
-
The Radiology Nurse assesses, plans, and cares for patients undergoing diagnostic, interventional, and therapeutic procedures through all phases of care from pre-procedure to post-procedure recovery. Performs duties involving Central Venous Access Device (CVAD), radiology, cardiac catheter, and interventional services throughout the facility to include performing line checks, sedation techniques, and assisting with IV access as needed.

Education:

High school diploma and graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Registration/Certification/Licensure:
-
Current RN licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing

PICC certification, preferred

Experience:
-
Position requires 2-3 years experience in Nursing with CVAD experience. Critical care background preferred.

Other Requirements:

Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.

Effectively communicates with all patient populations and staff by implementing organization-wide communication techniques as a daily practice.

Effectively advocates for quality patient safety and satisfaction as a daily practice.

Effectively performs moderate sedation techniques.
