Job Summary:

As a dietitian, you will work with patients on a daily basis creating solutions for weight loss. The goal is to help maintain a high quality of care by overseeing all aspects of the patient’s nutrition and diet.

Education:
-
Bachelor’s Degree or an advanced degree from an accredited institution with a major in Food and Nutrition, including completion of an accredited Dietetic Internship.

Registration/Certification/Licensure:
-
Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
-
Valid Maryland Dietitian license
-
Personal Liability Insurance
-
Current CPR certification
-

Experience:
-
Position requires 1-2 years of experience as a dietitian/nutritionist.

Other Requirements:
-
Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.

Critical thinking to integrate facts, informed opinions, active listening, and observations.

Decision-making, problem-solving and collaboration.

Strong interpersonal skills to establish productive working relationships with multidisciplinary team and support services.

Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form with patients, the public, medical staff, and physicians.

Ability to counsel and motivate others, as individuals and as a group.

General knowledge of nutrient analysis, word processing, spreadsheet, and professional presentation software.

Flexibility to adapt to changes in medical protocols and policy.
