- Assists the nursing staff and/or the physician/physician's assistant in the delivery of patient care.
- Education:
- Position requires a high school diploma or GED.
- Registration/Certification/Licensure:
- CNA License
- Experience:
- Position requires 0- 6 months equivalent combination of education and experience in related area.
- Other Requirements:
- Maintains unit specific and hospital competencies in accordance with policy requirements
- Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.
- FLSA Status:
- Non-Exempt
- TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
- Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists patients with activities of daily living using proper body mechanics or lifting devices
- Performs clerical and/or supply replenishment duties
- Performs basic procedures according to the technical skills list under the direction/supervision of the RN
- Communicates data/observations to the RN
- Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals
