POSITION SUMMARY
Oversees and assists with the preparation/assembly of Grab 'n Go meal kits and distributes kits/milk at multiple assigned locations.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma, possession of a general education development (GED) certificate or Maryland high school certificate of attendance

- Ability to perform basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)
- Knowledge of food services and sanitation procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as Calvert County Public Schools may find appropriate and acceptable
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND DUTIES:?
- Works rapidly and efficiently in performing tasks
- Works effectively with school personnel and members of the community
- Safely operates and cleans all kitchen equipment established in the cafeteria
- Applies and maintains high standards of sanitation and personal hygiene
- Stores food and supplies in accordance with instructions and takes weekly inventories
- Provides weekly list of needed supplies to Child Nutrition Office for ordering.
- Receives food deliveries, ensuring accuracy and quality of items being delivered.
- Maintains proper food safety in compliance with local health department regulations
- Prepares and serves food using proper portions in accordance with district, state and USDA regulations
- Assists with loading trucks for Grab 'n Go meal distribution
- Distributes meals at assigned Grab 'n Go locations
- Managers general staffing tasks to ensure efficient operations
- Attends staff development training
- Assists in all areas of the school food service program as directed
- Thinks, concentrates, and interacts positively with others
- Comes to work regularly and promptly
- Works under stress and meets all deadlines
- Ensures that all activities conform to district guideline
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND DUTIES:

PHYSICAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL CONDITIONS/DEMANDS:
- Exerts moderate physical effort, including lifting and carrying food items and objects weighing up to fifty (50) pounds.
- Frequent reaching and bending.
- Standing and walking on hard flooring for long periods of time.
- Operating commercial food service equipment.
- Working around a wide range of temperatures commonly found in a commercial kitchen environment.
- Working with commercial chemical cleaning agents.
UNUSUAL DEMANDS:
- May need to use personal vehicle for travel, depending on distribution site assignment.
- May need to drive county-owned vehicles.
- Will need to work outside at a food distribution sites, in varied weather conditions.
EVALUATION:
Performance will be evaluated annually in accordance with the policy on evaluation established by the Calvert County Public Schools.
