What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer position at Calvary Robotics?
Develop detailed designs and specifications for mechanical assembly and test equipment, dies/tools, and controls, using SolidWorks Coordinate with and consult other workers to design, lay out, or detail components and systems and to resolve design or other problems.
Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed.
Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems.
Compute mathematical formulas to develop and design detailed specifications for components or machinery using computer-assisted equipment.
Lay out, draw, and reproduce illustrations for reference manuals and technical publications to describe operation and maintenance of mechanical systems.
Present proposed design at the internal and customer design reviews Create a Bill of Materials for the design. Print and release drawings and BOM to shop for build.
Assist in the assembly and debug of the design as needed. Update drawings from shop.REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s or higher in Mech. Eng. Tech., Mechanical/ Electro Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering- 5 y. exp. as a Mechanical Eng. using SolidWorks, AutoCAD eDrawings, SW Simulation, Linear motion stages, Servo/stepper motors, pneumatic actuators, fluid draw, Robo Studio concept & proposal engineering, Vision System Machine Design, Frame picture analysis, DFMEA, and MBD GD&T
