About the Position

Calvary Home Services, Inc. is seeking dependable, compassionate, and responsible Program Director at our DDD group home to provide quality care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a community residential setting.

DSPs play an important role in helping our members live safe, healthy, meaningful, and as independent lives as possible.

Responsibilities

• Monitor staff and members and write up staff and Incident report members and cause incident reports to be written by staff for members
• Recruit and hire more staff
• Directly report to owners/upper management
• Keep up with medication deliveries, doctors appointments, dental appointments, schedule therapy appointments if needed and keep track of all doctors appointments
• Appear on all meetings for members and report on their doctors, dentist, and other appointments with date time, doctor, and reason for visit
• Make sure that staff are behaving appropriately within the company guidelines and all deviations are written up for that staff and placed in staff log book.
• Document all appointments and follow-ups on the appropriate forms
• Provide direct care and daily support to members in the group home.
• Assist members with activities of daily living, as needed.
• Follow each member's Individual Support Plan (ISP), PCSP, BTP and individualized care needs.
• Support members with personal hygiene, meals, medication reminders/assistance as authorized, and household routines.
• Provide transportation and community support when assigned and qualified.
• Assist with teaching life skills and promoting independence.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive home environment.
• Complete required daily documentation, progress notes, medication records, and other required paperwork accurately.
• Observe and report changes in behavior, health, safety, or overall well-being.
• Follow all company policies, DDD requirements, and member rights and protections.
• Maintain confidentiality and treat every member with dignity, respect, and kindness.
• Participate in required staff training and team meetings.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow established safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous care giving, D.S.P, behavioral health, group home, or developmental disability experience required.
• Must be dependable, responsible, and able to work as part of a team.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with members, families, guardians, coworkers, and supervisors.
• Must be able to complete required documentation.
• Must successfully complete required background checks and employment screening.
• Must be willing to complete required D.D.D and company training.
