Live Production/Tech Director

We are an Assemblies of God Church in a wonderful community in Central Maryland.

Our location is unique: Close to the Appalachian Trail and only 45 miles from D.C. and Baltimore.

Our church is healthy and steadily growing.

We are looking for a Technical Director to lead and oversee all aspects of live production for worship gatherings. This role is a mix of hands-on technical expertise and leadership, helping us to create meaningful worship experiences where people encounter Jesus. God's presence is our passion. The Live Production Director will lead and develop the production dream team of servant leaders to ensure that every service and event is produced with excellence, clarity, and heart.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all areas of live production, including audio, lighting, broadcast video, and lyric projection for weekend services, midweek gatherings, and special events.
• Recruit, train, and mentor production teams, fostering an environment of encouragement, unity, and growth.
• Collaborate with the Worship Pastor and ministry teams to create meaningful, distraction-free worship experiences.
• Maintain and troubleshoot all production equipment to ensure systems are reliable and operational.
• Plan and execute technical elements for services and events, including programming lighting, audio mixing, and video direction.
• Able to create and implement new stage and lighting designs.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for production systems and processes.
• Editing and publishing Sunday Service audio for weekly content on streaming services.
• Basic video recording and editing skills.
• Able to oversee multiple projects well utilizing contractors and vendors as needed.
• Keep all technical areas clean and organized, including: stages, backstage, storage areas, and tech booths.
• Work closely with other ministry leaders to support events, services and special projects that align with Calvary's mission.
• Stay current on new technologies and techniques that can enhance the worship and production experience.

Relationships:

The Live Production Director reports to Shawn Nichols (Worship Arts Pastor) and works in parallel with Benny and Kelli Ferguson (Lead and Co-Lead Pastors) to create cohesive content and weekend experiences.

Pay: $50, $80,000.00 per year
