JOB TITLE: Receptionist
DEPARTMENT: Calvary Christian Academy
REPORTS TO: Director of Operations
STATUS: Non-Exempt; Hourly, 12-Month
HOURS: Full Time (40)
LOCATION: Calvary Christian Academy Fort Lauderdale

Purpose Statement:
The Receptionist is responsible for receiving parents, students, and faculty as they enter the school building and working to meet their needs in a way that displays the love of Christ and our desire to serve them in any way we can.
Scope:
This position is key to the effective, efficient operation of the school office. This person interacts with the parents, students, and staff of the Academy. This person is a key information resource person.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set-up for the arrival of visitors to our school.
- Greet and assist visitors to the school and sign in them in when visiting.
- Provide current information about services, ministries, directions, outside resources, etc.
- Arrange for the delivery of items to students and teachers.
- Ensure the “no contact” lists for all students are followed and adhered to.
- Assist with fire drills, lock-down, and tornado drills.
- Perform necessary administrative/clerical duties such as photocopying, answering, and transfer all incoming calls
- Request facilities and custodial assistance needs for teachers.
- Sign for delivered orders.
- Keep the reception desk neat and orderly from all sides.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
