- Able to provide leadership, oversight, and support for volunteers and staff for all activities of Calvary Kids
- Provide strategic oversight for all aspects of the Elementary Ministry (Kindergarten–3rd Grade), casting vision and ensuring a cohesive, Gospel-centered experience from large group to small group
- Lead, develop, and shepherd Elementary Ministry staff, equipping them to thrive in their roles, execute with excellence, and align with the ministry’s vision and strategic plan
- Recruit, train, and mentor small group leaders, adult volunteers, and student leaders, fostering a healthy culture of spiritual leadership, deep discipleship, consistent community, and well-trained volunteers
- Develop and contextualize curriculum by adapting and writing small group materials based on an established scope and sequence, with the ability to research and author original series from scratch when needed
- Partner with parents by creating intentional communication, resources, and environments that equip families to disciple their children at home
- Collaborate with campuses and the broader Calvary Kids team to maintain alignment, unity, and consistency in culture and experience across all environments
- Direct and execute major ministry events (e.g., Kids Conference, Easter, Christmas, and other family ministry events) in alignment with the overarching Calvary Kids strategy
- Build and implement operational systems, managing safety procedures, volunteer onboarding workflows, classroom organization, and database reporting within Ministry Platform
- Provide care and counseling to volunteers, children, and families through prayer, Biblical guidance, crisis support, and intentional relationship building
- Perform additional leadership responsibilities and special projects as requested to support the senior leadership team and the vision of Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale
- A strong personal commitment to Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, and the theological distinctives and philosophy of Calvary Chapel
- A proven ability to design, implement, and scale organizational systems, manage processes, and execute projects with high attention to detail
- Strong communication skills with the ability to write engaging, biblically accurate curriculum for children, comfortably pivoting between adapting existing material and writing original content
- Experience managing staff or high-level volunteer teams, with a passion for mentoring both adults and student leaders
- The ability to relate effortlessly to kids, parents, student leaders, and volunteers, remaining calm, discerning, and level-headed under pressure or during unexpected situations
- Proficient with, or fully capable of learning and embracing, standard administrative and creative platforms. You should be ready to engage daily with tools like Google Workspace, Canva, and church management databases like Ministry Platform
