INTERN TITLE: Calvary Kids Creative Intern
DEPARTMENT: Family Ministry: Calvary Kids
REPORTS TO: Experience Manager
DAYS/HOURS: Wednesday-Sunday (15-20 hours)

Role of Creative Intern:

Spiritual Formation & Leadership
Wednesday: 9a - 5p (flexible hours)
Thursday: 9a - 5p (flexible hours except for Staff Huddle from 9:00a - 10:30a)
Friday: 9a - 5p (Intern Cohort from 9a - 2p)
Saturday: 1p - 8p
Sunday: 7:30a - 2p

Role of Creative Intern:
- Assist Calvary Kids Creative team in shepherding, discipling, and developing creative volunteers.
- Assist with weekend Large Group services and skits however needed.
- Schedule volunteers.
- Perform on stage as needed.
- Assist with service set-up and tear down.
- Assist with rehearsal.
- Perform creative tasks as needed such as video creation, set design, script writing, etc.
- Attend monthly volunteer Creative Team Hangs (may be asked to be a table leader).
- Attend monthly Creative Team meetings (Tyler Cavalli, Nicholas Kalb, and other creative interns).
- Attend/lead volunteer meetings (weekly for drama team and biweekly for writing team).
- Meet weekly with Creative Assistant (Tyler Cavalli).
- Perform other department-related tasks as needed and assigned by Creative Assistant (assisting with special events, attending department meetings, etc.).

- Learn names, stories, and prayer needs of kids and their parents.
- Assist in creating a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment.
- Collaborate with volunteers and church staff.
- Understand how to support and lead volunteers.
- Attend and contribute to team meetings and planning sessions.
- Learn the behind-the-scenes of children’s ministry.
- Assist with organizing events (Wiggles & Worship Christmas Play, Kids Conference, Family Game Night, etc).
- Understand safety policies, check-in systems, and logistics.
- Evaluate and improve ministry experiences.
- Gather feedback from kids, parents, and volunteers.
- Reflect on what worked, what didn’t, and why.
- Explore vocational calling and ministry fit.
- Journal and reflect on experiences weekly.
- Meet regularly with a mentor to discuss strengths, challenges, and next steps.
- Convinced a relationship with Jesus changes everything in a person’s life.

- Creative task fulfillment (3-4 hours per week, or as needed)

- Connecting weekly with Creative Assistant (30 mins a week)
- Other department related tasks (2-3 hours per week)
- Intern Cohort (5 hours per week)
- Hours listed above are the office hours of the department and not an exact schedule. Hours may vary depending on campus-wide events taking place. Additionally, you may have to bend, sit, or stand for prolonged periods of time, lift, pull, push and/or move up to 35 lbs.
