What are the responsibilities and job description for the Missions, Outreach, and Events Coordinator position at Calvary Chapel Eagle?
The Outreach Coordinator helps Calvary Chapel Eagle bring the hope of Jesus to our city and beyond. This role exists to help people encounter Christ through strategic events, local outreach, and missions, while fostering meaningful community connection both inside and outside the church.
This role is ideal for someone who loves planning, thrives on execution, and has a heart to see both the local community and the global church impacted by the gospel. The Outreach Coordinator builds and supports volunteer teams, executes outreach events, supports missions and Israel trips, and helps create natural on-ramps for guests to take their next step at CCE.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Build and Support Volunteer Teams
Recruit, train, and encourage volunteers across Outreach, Events, and Missions.
Foster a culture of ownership, joy, and excellence among teams.
Steward volunteer scheduling, communication, and follow-up so people feel known and valued.
2. Coordinate Community Outreach
Plan, promote, and execute local outreach initiatives that demonstrate the love of Jesus in practical ways.
Create on-ramps for unbelievers and the unchurched to connect with CCE.
Track outreach engagement and follow-up to measure community impact.
3. Coordinate Church Events
Organize church-wide events that foster community, celebrate spiritual milestones, and create natural invitation points for guests.
Manage event logistics, registration, vendors, and day-of execution.
Ensure every event reflects the mission and culture of Calvary Chapel Eagle.
4. Support Missions and Israel Trips
Coordinate logistics, training, and follow-up for short-term mission trips and Holy Land tours.
Manage participant communication, registration, and pre-trip preparation.
Help track participation and develop strategies to increase year-over-year engagement in missions.
5. Support Sunday Hospitality Environments
Help oversee Sunday hospitality environments, including the Café, Recharge area, and Green Room.
Ensure each environment fosters connection, refreshment, and care for guests, volunteers, and speakers.
Steward supplies, scheduling, and quality standards across hospitality spaces.
Qualifications:
- A growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ and alignment with the vision of Calvary Chapel Eagle and the Calvary Distinctives.
- Experience helping plan and execute events, trips, or outreach efforts.
- Ability to recruit, train, and lead volunteers.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and hospitality skills.
- Comfortable interacting with a wide range of people, from local vendors to international pastors and guest speakers.
- Tech-savvy and familiar with Planning Center, Google Suite, and basic budgeting tools (or willing to learn).
About Calvary Chapel Eagle:
Located in Idaho's beautiful Treasure Valley, Calvary Chapel Eagle relaunched in October 2023 under the leadership of Pastor Brenen Beeler. Since then, we've seen over 250 first-time commitments to Christ, more than 140 baptisms, and over 30 small groups launched. Our church is growing rapidly, and we're passionate about seeing revival in our community and helping people become fully devoted followers of Jesus. We're praying for revival and building a team ready to meet the moment.
