Group Supervisor

Overview

We are looking for a caring individual who has a passion for helping children learn and grow and make a difference in the lives of children and their families everyday.

Qualifications

Required Education must be one of the following:

• A Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human service field.
• A Bachelors degree including 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human service field and at least one year experience with children.
• An Associate's degree in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human service field with at least two years of experience with children.
• An Associate's degree including 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human service field and at least three years experience with children.

Must have an interest in child development, a flexible personality, the ability to work independently, and excellent verbal and written communication skills, plus enjoy variety in daily work routines. Successful candidates will also have proven leadership abilities, creativity in teaching, team management and supervision, as well as the ability to work as part of a team.

A group supervisor responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Core focus: leadership, safety, helping upper management when needed.
• Must make sure that the facility is well-stocked.
• Manage call offs or step in for call offs
• Assisting in staff evaluation.
• Oversee scheduling and staff to child ratio.
• Track attendance.
• Oversee staff: following policies, lesson plans, creating a safe environment, being a bridge between staff and upper management.
• Coordinate with the director on sending children home due to sickness or any other reasons
