What are the responsibilities and job description for the Worship Leader (Part-Time) position at Calvary Arlington?
We are looking for a part-time worship leader to lead our congregation with a variety of modern as well as classic worship songs and hymns.
The qualified applicant must meet the biblical character qualifications for spiritual leadership as outlined in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1. The applicant should demonstrate a growing and mature walk with Jesus Christ, a servant’s heart, and a commitment to the doctrine and mission of Calvary Arlington. (A Calvary Chapel affiliated church)
The applicant must be a skilled vocalist and proficient on either guitar (preferred) or keyboard, with the ability to lead congregational worship in a manner that is both musically competent and spiritually edifying. The successful candidate should be capable of recruiting, training, organizing, and leading a worship team, including vocalists and instrumentalists.
The applicant should possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, be teachable, work well as part of a ministry team, and be able to receive direction and feedback. Experience with worship planning, scheduling volunteers, and basic audio/visual technology is preferred.
Above all, the worship leader should understand that worship ministry is first a spiritual calling rather than a musical performance, seeking to glorify God, encourage the church, and facilitate meaningful congregational participation in worship.
Schedule requirement is 7:45am - 12:45pm (Sundays only) with occasional special events.
Pay: $1,000.00 - $1,200.00 per month
