PURPOSE:
The Purchasing Supervisor is responsible for supervising overall purchasing processes and activities, which include contracting, bidding, and procuring products and services.
KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review and approve purchase requisitions and purchase orders. Develop and maintain related documentation.
- Manage vendor relations, which includes maintaining vendor report card and supervising vendor performance.
- Evaluate suppliers for material, service, performance, and price, which includes qualifying and/or approving new suppliers and contractors.
- Maintain inventory of production materials and perform daily and quarterly reviews of inventory levels. Set stock reorder quantities.
- Act as a subject matter expert on purchasing policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Supervise assigned staff.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience with Procurement and/or Purchasing in Oil and Gas industry
- Knowledge of MRP (material requirements planning) processes in an ERP system
- Demonstration of Calumet Values – Safety, Environment & Social Responsibility, Teamwork, Ownership, Passion for Customers, and Excellence
