This strategic leadership role is responsible for ensuring regulatory excellence, driving customer-centric product support, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You will lead and develop high-performing technical and regulatory teams and ensure Calumet remains compliant with evolving global standards.

As the Product Services and Regulatory Director, you’ll lead Calumet’s product support and regulatory compliance functions across our Specialty Chemicals and Performance Brands business. This strategic leadership role is responsible for ensuring regulatory excellence, driving customer-centric product support, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You will lead and develop high-performing technical and regulatory teams and ensure Calumet remains compliant with evolving global standards.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance
- Stay ahead of changes in regulations and standards affecting product quality, safety, and performance.
- Oversee systems to ensure compliance with all applicable global, federal, and industry-specific regulations.
- Monitor customer feedback to uncover patterns and improvement opportunities.
- Lead and evolve the product support function to deliver fast, accurate, and customer-aligned service.
- Establish systems for maintaining technical market intelligence and timely product data.
- Lead, coach, and develop regulatory and technical support professionals to maximize performance and engagement.
- Deliver regular reports on product status, customer feedback, audit results, and improvement initiatives.
- Develop and manage budgets, resources, and priorities to meet strategic goals.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a Science-related discipline.
- 10 years of experience in Product Technical Services or a related field.
- 5 years leading and coaching high-performing teams.
- Proven experience in specialty chemicals or a related industry.
- Skilled in data analysis and managing quality-related metrics.
- Master’s degree
- Familiarity with Product Regulatory Affairs (e.g., REACH, HAZCOM, FDA).
- Lead with integrity and emotional intelligence.
- Thrive in dynamic, ambiguous environments and drive results with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships and lead with a team-first approach.
- Bring strategic vision with hands-on execution capabilities.
