Job Description And Duties

Under direction and supervision of the Central Region Services Branch Chief of Design Support, (a Senior Transportation Engineer), the incumbent is responsible for a wide variety of highly critical and technical budget analysis for Central Region Services Division. The AGPA is responsible to facilitate project delivery, budgetary, resource management and administrative support to ensure and facilitate completed staff work on matters of critical concern associated with the Project Development Office and within Caltrans. In this capacity, the AGPA independently researches, analyzes and monitors the allocation/expenditures and management of workload/staffing/budgets for the units within the Office of Design in San Luis Obispo, Stockton and Fresno.

• Experience in planning, organizing and completing special assignments with emphasis on accuracy, quality and details.
• Experience with written, verbal, and personal communication with internal and external partners. Demonstrates effective and accurate reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrates knowledge of allocation, budget management, forecasting, analyzing and auditing data.
• Knowledge of computer programs such as such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.
• Knowledge and ability in balancing multiple priorities and meeting strict deadlines. Ability to maintain files.
