Quality Control Inspector

Duties

• Conduct thorough inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and vision inspection systems.
• Utilize advanced quality management tools and systems, including ISO 9001 standards, to ensure compliance across all processes.
• Perform detailed analysis and data collection during quality audits to identify root causes of defects and areas for process improvement.
• Operate coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify dimensional accuracy of complex parts against technical specifications.
• Document inspection results accurately and maintain comprehensive records in accordance with ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues promptly, facilitating corrective actions and process adjustments.
• Support ongoing training initiatives related to quality assurance procedures, calibration of measurement tools, and safety protocols.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of quality control principles, including QA/QC methodologies and quality management systems.
• Proficiency with precision measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and vision inspection systems.
• Experience with inspection sheet metal, fabrication and CNC Machining.
• Background or willingness to develop and implement trainings and work instructions
• Familiarity with industry standards including ISO 9001, ISO 13485, FDA regulations, HACCP, CGMP, and related compliance requirements.
• Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret data accurately and identify trends or deviations.
• Demonstrated capability in conducting quality audits and implementing corrective actions effectively.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes across various sectors such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or food production is a plus.
• Ability to work meticulously in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills for documenting findings clearly and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Technical proficiency with calibration tools like calipers, micrometers, and vision inspection systems is essential.
