Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and vision inspection systems.
- Utilize advanced quality management tools and systems, including ISO 9001 standards, to ensure compliance across all processes.
- Perform detailed analysis and data collection during quality audits to identify root causes of defects and areas for process improvement.
- Operate coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify dimensional accuracy of complex parts against technical specifications.
- Document inspection results accurately and maintain comprehensive records in accordance with ISO 9001 quality systems.
- Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues promptly, facilitating corrective actions and process adjustments.
- Support ongoing training initiatives related to quality assurance procedures, calibration of measurement tools, and safety protocols.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of quality control principles, including QA/QC methodologies and quality management systems.
- Proficiency with precision measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and vision inspection systems.
- Experience with inspection sheet metal, fabrication and CNC Machining.
- Background or willingness to develop and implement trainings and work instructions
- Familiarity with industry standards including ISO 9001, ISO 13485, FDA regulations, HACCP, CGMP, and related compliance requirements.
- Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret data accurately and identify trends or deviations.
- Demonstrated capability in conducting quality audits and implementing corrective actions effectively.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes across various sectors such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or food production is a plus.
- Ability to work meticulously in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for documenting findings clearly and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
