Room Attendant, Full Time

DEPARTMENT: Housekeeping, The Lodge & Spa at Callaway Resort and Gardens

STATUS: full-time, part-time, seasonal

REPORTS TO: Housekeeping Supervisor and Housekeeping Manager

Job Summary: Work with the Housekeeping Department to maintain one of the most important aspects of our guests' stay: the cleanliness of their rooms.

Job Responsibilities

• Clean bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floor surfaces using cloths, mops, sponges, brushes, and/or cleaning agents by extending arms over head, bending and stooping.
• Adhere to cleaning procedures and instructions for use of cleaning agents.
• Strip beds and make beds, changing bed linens.
• Dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves thoroughly.
• Push and pull vacuum throughout entire room and empty trash.
• Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in guest room.
• Sign for room keys, retrieve, push to assigned rooms and restock heavy cart. Visually inspect room for cleanliness and appearance and signify completion for room.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
• Keep cleaning cart clean, stocked and organized.
• Job Requirements
• Previous cleaning experience preferred
• Previous customer service experience, preferably in a hotel or related establishment preferred
• Identification verifying you are at least 18 years of age
• The ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
• The ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weight (minimum of 20 lbs.)
• The desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
• The ability and desire to work independently with little supervision
• Multi-tasking skills
• Strong communication skills - the ability to speak, read, and write in the English Language
• The ability to learn quickly and work in fast-paced position with guest interaction
