Job Description:
Callaway Nursing Home, a leading provider of compassionate and high-quality long-term care, is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facility through regular maintenance and repairs.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on facility equipment, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building infrastructure.
- Address and resolve maintenance requests from staff and residents in a timely and professional manner.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize potential issues and ensure the facility remains in optimal working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and replacements.
- Assist with emergency repairs and support during facility emergencies as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with external contractors and service providers for specialized repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies, if required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in maintenance or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in building maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or healthcare facility is a plus.
