Responsibilities and Duties
- Inspect and assess tree health, structure, and safety risks
- Prune, trim, and shape tree canopies to promote healthy growth and eliminate deadwood
- Safely remove hazardous, dead, or unwanted trees
- Plant trees, perennials and other plants
- Install mulch and pine straw
- Safe and proper operation of chainsaws, pole saws, brush cutters, string trimmers, mowers, tractors and aerial lifts
- Other duties as assigned
Safety, Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, emergency response protocols, and proper operation of equipment
- Proper PPE is required at all times
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- 2 years' experience in tree removals, pruning, planting and operation of chainsaws, and other pruning tools
- Flexible schedule required, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work within a team environment
Skills & Requirements:
- Long hours are sometimes required.
- Ability to work in all environmental conditions, cold weather, hot weather, rain, snow, and other weather conditions
- Working at heights in aerial lifts
- Proficiency using chainsaws and other related equipment
- Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and /or frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling or otherwise moving objects.
- Ability to stand for long hours at a time.
