Job Description Summary
This position requires the operation of various heavy equipment and plant maintenance. Responsibilities include:

• Operate equipment in a safe and professional manner
• Maintain and repair the plant
• Keep equipment clean inside and outside
• Report any accident or incident to supervisor
• Performs pre and post-trip equipment inspections, including fluid levels and greasing. Fill out daily vehicle condition report.
• Informs Service Technician and supervisor of any maintenance or repairs needed
• Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times
• Keep log book on work area Inspection
• Cover vacations in different tasks when needed
• Loading customers and company trucks in the yard
• Assist with plant maintenance and plant operations
• Travel to other plant locations
Work different shifts

Requirements
The requirements for the role are:

• Demonstrate good performance, safety, and attendance
• Demonstrate the ability to work independently, without direct supervision
• Demonstrate a willingness to work overtime and weekends and nights
• Demonstrates ability to work and communicate well with Supervisors, Truck Drivers, Other Equipment Operators, and other employees
• Demonstrate the ability to conform to and maintain MSHA, OSHA, and all other company policies or governmental state rules and regulations
• Must have good depth perception and coordination to operate controls
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Pre-employment screenings required before being employed by Callanan Industries, Inc.
• Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required
• Maintain the highest level of customer service and courtesy

Preferences

• Familiarity with aggregate/asphalt operations
• Skills on various heavy equipment
• Experience with Quarry operations a plus

• This position offers a Union range of $32.12-$34.12 per hour.
