With nine offices across Massachusetts, our attorneys handle a wide range of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, modifications, contempts, paternity actions, restraining orders, and guardianships.

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Associate Attorney specializing in Family Law to join our dynamic legal team. This entry-level position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your legal expertise while supporting clients through complex family law matters. As a Junior Associate Attorney, you will assist senior attorneys with case preparation, legal research, and client interactions, contributing to impactful resolutions that improve clients’ lives. This paid position provides comprehensive training and mentorship in a collaborative environment dedicated to professional growth and excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough legal research using LexisNexis and other legal research tools to support family law cases.
  • Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and client correspondence with precision and clarity.
  • Assist in preparing for court hearings, mediations, and client meetings by organizing case files and evidence.
  • Support senior attorneys in managing case timelines, deadlines, and court filings to ensure compliance with procedural rules.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to gather information, provide updates, and explain legal options clearly.
  • Collaborate with the team on case strategy development, negotiation efforts, and settlement discussions.
  • Maintain accurate records of case activities and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school or currently enrolled in a qualifying legal program.
  • Strong research skills using LexisNexis, and other legal research platforms.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce clear, concise legal drafts.
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in family law; familiarity with estate planning is a plus.
  • Knowledge of litigation procedures and legal administrative processes is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
