Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Associate Attorney specializing in Family Law to join our dynamic legal team. This entry-level position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your legal expertise while supporting clients through complex family law matters. As a Junior Associate Attorney, you will assist senior attorneys with case preparation, legal research, and client interactions, contributing to impactful resolutions that improve clients’ lives. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough legal research using LexisNexis and other legal research tools to support family law cases.
- Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and client correspondence with precision and clarity.
- Assist in preparing for court hearings, mediations, and client meetings by organizing case files and evidence.
- Support senior attorneys in managing case timelines, deadlines, and court filings to ensure compliance with procedural rules.
- Communicate effectively with clients to gather information, provide updates, and explain legal options clearly.
- Collaborate with the team on case strategy development, negotiation efforts, and settlement discussions.
- Maintain accurate records of case activities and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school or currently enrolled in a qualifying legal program.
- Strong research skills using LexisNexis, and other legal research platforms.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce clear, concise legal drafts.
- Demonstrated interest or experience in family law; familiarity with estate planning is a plus.
- Knowledge of litigation procedures and legal administrative processes is preferred.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
