Position Summary
The Prequalification Manager’s primary focus is to work alongside our Estimating, Risk Management and Operations teams to assist with the trade partner prequalification experience through completion. In estimating, the Prequalification Manager will grow relationships externally to improve the estimating feeder pool of trade partners. After completion of the handoff to the operations team, the Prequalification Manager will monitor and track deliverables and schedules for buyout. The Prequalification Manager must be a flexible and accountable team-player, with strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities
- Provide regular communication and management of trade partners and project teams to obtain a complete prequalification package.
- Assess and manage subcontractor default risk including review of trade partner prequalification forms.
- Maintain prequalification and subcontractor database.
- Recommend enhancements based on industry trends and best practices.
- Work closely with Callahan’s internal prequalification committee and regional leadership to assess prequalification data, as required.
- Manage subcontractor ratings process.
- Build productive relationships with Callahan operations leadership and their teams to effectively deal with trade partner issues, as required.
- Provide support with prequalification software, including training of new users, management of trade partners to prequalify and reporting on data within the system.
- Perform internal subcontractor evaluations.
- Within authority limit, make timely, sound decisions and negotiate terms/conditions consistent with program requirements and within submission timeframes.
- Develop effective and insightful reports on the health of the prequalification program in coordination with Safety, Finance, and Estimating Departments.
- Manage the SDI project enrollment process and ensure compliance with carrier requirements.
- Provide oversight to the preconstruction handoff process, involving budget, schedule, logistics and MEP coordination.
- Maintain tracking of buyout progress on all projects, including schedules and signoffs.
- Work closely with the Estimating and Operations teams to ensure that trade partners are receiving adequate feedback on their status in the buyout process.

- Exceptional interpersonal communication, presentation, and documentation skills
- Knowledge of Bluebeam, Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Trade Tapp, Building Connected
- Subcontractor and vendor management experience
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3 to 5 years of experience in related construction fields
- Strong analytical skills, including ability to perform financial reviews
