Job Description
We are seeking a hardworking individual to join our consulting group based in Tucson, AZ. The position is with our vibrating wire piezometer installation team doing the following:
- Travel to mine sites and work with drill crews to install specialty geotechnical and hydrogeology instruments in drill holes including vibrating-wire piezometers and TDR cable at various sites mostly in Arizona and in the western US
- Set up data loggers, collect and process data
- Prepare technical documentation and reporting of field and analysis work
Qualifications
- 5 years of work experience
- Background working with tools and machinery in a mining, engineering, construction, mechanical, or a related field
- Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office products
- Proficiency in Excel including ability to modify worksheets, modify formulas, and create charts
- Comfortable in working with a wide variety of hand and battery powered tools
- Good communications skills (oral and written)
- A natural problem solver with an engineering mindset
- Team player
- Willing to travel domestically and internationally
- Must have a clean driving record and be able to pass a Department of Transport medical examination
- Must be willing to travel up to 75% of the time
- Willing to work day- or night-shift as needed
- All candidates must legally be authorized to work in the USA
Preferred
- Undergraduate studies in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) field
- Work truck and light trailer driving experience
- Mining experience
- Engineering field experience
Additional Information
Starting Pay
$25–$30 per hour, depending on prior experience and education.
