Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Floor Care Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of various floor surfaces in residential and commercial settings. This role requires a strong understanding of custodial practices, floor care techniques, and environmental services to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for all occupants. We can train you on this.

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of floors, including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing.
• Execute carpet cleaning procedures using appropriate equipment and cleaning solutions.
• Inspect floors regularly to identify areas needing repair or special attention.
• Maintain cleanliness in all areas by adhering to established cleaning schedules and protocols.
• Operate floor care equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring proper usage and maintenance.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure all tasks are completed effectively and on time.
• Follow safety guidelines and protocols to minimize hazards in the workplace.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any concerns or requests from clients regarding floor care.

Qualifications

• MOST IMPORTANTLY - A positive, respectful attitude and willingness to listen and take instructions without becoming defensive or upset.
• Previous experience in custodial or carpet cleaning is preferred but not necessary.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques, including buffing and carpet cleaning methods.
• Ability to operate various types of floor care equipment safely.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, lifting, and bending for extended periods.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
