Calkins & Gold, PLLC, is a criminal defense law firm based in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. From our humble origins as Assistant Public Defenders we have quickly risen to the top of private criminal defense representation in northeast and central Pennsylvania. We are actively seeking a second paralegal to join our close-knit team to help manage a heavy criminal defense and CYS caseload in multiple counties throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The paralegal would work alongside one current paralegal for two current attorneys and an eventual third attorney. The successful applicant shall be able to proficiently use technology, possess critical thinking skills and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Pay to be determined based on experience and demonstrated qualities during interview. Position includes bonus structure. Position is salaried. Other perks and benefits to be discussed at the time of interview.
Prior experience as a paralegal is not necessarily a requirement but is preferred. Experience in legal drafting, case management systems, PACfile and legal database systems is preferred.
Must have at least an Associate's Degree and reliable transportation. Must be able to communicate effectively and be able to communicate with clients from different backgrounds and temperaments.
We are anticipating a lengthy interview process and are looking to hire the successful candidate before the end of September 2026.
