What are the responsibilities and job description for the KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER position at Calise Bakery?
Calise & Sons Bakery is excited to announce an opening on our Sales team. We have an immediate need for a professional Salesperson to row Calise branded business in New England marketplace. The selected individual will represent Calise & Sons Bakery while visiting developed and undeveloped retail and food service outlets in assigned territory. Successful candidates will develop contacts with regional key customers and decision makers where the Calise brand is merchandised as well as identify new retail business opportunities and will work closely with our distributors’ regional management to ensure merchandising compliance and execution of programs and service standards. Position will call directly on buyers and key decision makers in accounts determined by VP of Sales. This position will be remote but must be within driving distance to our headquarters in Lincoln, Rhode Island for monthly or bi-monthly visits.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Professionally represent Calise Bakery in assigned marketing territory. Identify new revenue producing streams in existing or new accounts.
- Develop executive, buying, and field level contacts with key decision makers in retail companies our brand is sold in.
- Ensure Company marketing, merchandising, space gain, and new product initiatives are on target in area of responsibility.
- Work with distributor’s management to develop new business avenues in area of responsibility.
- Work with distributor’s management to further develop existing business.
- Communicate with VP of Sales on a regular and routine basis. Work directly with VP of Sales to identify ways to expand the Company’s product reach and profitable revenues.
- Must be willing to travel.
Work skills required:
- Industry specific knowledge – must have direct working experience in retail and food service business, preferably in bakery sales, and direct experience communicating with and presenting to decision makers.
- General business knowledge – must have working knowledge of business growth strategies and profitability.
- Job related knowledge – must have effective skills in selling, negotiation, leadership through example, decision making, communication (written and oral), and enthusiasm for the position
- Leadership experience – must have effective skills in time management, motivating people, teamwork, follow through, and coaching and mentoring
- Written and oral communication skills – must have above average skills and knowledge of basic computer programs (Excel, Power Point, Word), can meet deadlines, and have solid written and verbal communication skills
- Work planning, organization, and execution – Must be a self starter. Must be effective at planning and organizing.
- Physical capabilities – must be able to perform physical requirements of the position including lifting (min. 25 lbs.)
Salary : $90,000 - $120,000
