California Wound Healing Medical Group is a rapidly growing physician-led healthcare organization dedicated to delivering advanced wound care services throughout Southern California. We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Human Resources Administrator to support our expanding workforce and help ensure our HR operations remain compliant, efficient, and employee-focused.


Position Summary

The Human Resources Administrator will play a key role in the day-to-day administration of HR functions, including onboarding, employee records, compliance, benefits administration, payroll support, recruiting coordination, and employee relations. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, discretion when handling confidential information, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This is a full-time, in-office position based in our Alhambra office. Remote or hybrid work is not available.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the full onboarding process for new hires, including offer letters, background checks, I-9 verification, and new hire documentation.
  • Maintain accurate employee personnel files and HRIS records.
  • Assist with employee offboarding, including termination documentation, benefit notifications, and final paperwork.
  • Support payroll processing by auditing timecards, tracking leave balances, and following up on missing documentation.
  • Administer employee benefits enrollment, qualifying life events, and benefit changes.
  • Assist with recruiting activities, including scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates, and preparing employment offers.
  • Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Prepare HR reports, employment verifications, and other personnel documentation.
  • Assist with corrective actions, performance improvement documentation, and employee coaching records.
  • Respond to employee questions regarding company policies, benefits, payroll, and HR procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information at all times.
  • Support special HR and operational projects as assigned.


Qualifications

  • 2 years of Human Resources or HR Administrative experience preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of California employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (Paychex experience is a plus).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
  • Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar) is a plus but not required.
