Diesel Mechanic

• CWS is hiring a Diesel Mechanic*. As a *Service Shop Mechanic/Technician*, you will play a key role in keeping our fleet of trucks and trailers running safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on position in our maintenance team, where *safety*, *initiative*, and *attention to detail* are essential.

*QUALIFICATIONS*

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed in the job description are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

• 1-2 years' experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair OR a technical school degree, or certification in Heavy Duty Truck/Trailer Maintenance.
• Valid state-issued driver's license.
• Valid class A license is a PLUS
• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in using mechanic's tools and equipment
• Knowledge of diesel engine systems, including fuel, electrical, cooling, and exhaust systems
• Familiarity with heavy equipment operation and maintenance procedures
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Ability to work independently and/or as a team member
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
• ASE certifications are a PLUS (willing to pay more in salary with proof of certificate)
  
  

*LANGUAGE SKILLS*

Ability to read and comprehend English and Spanish. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to employees, supervision, and management of the organization.
