About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Caseworker to join our team at California Tribal TANF Partnership. As a Caseworker, you will play a vital role in assisting individuals and families in need by providing support services and connecting them with community resources.
">Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough interviews with participants to determine eligibility for cash assistance and supportive services
- Identify barriers to self-sufficiency and provide families with tools to overcome these challenges
- Meet with participants monthly to review progress and update case plans as needed
- Enter participant information into the TAS system accurately and efficiently
- Refer participants to community resources and organizations that can provide additional support
- Compile records and prepare reports to track participant progress
- Implement participant case plans and ensure participants receive necessary services
- Secure supplementary information from employers, medical professionals, and other relevant sources
- Provide home visits when necessary to assess participant needs
- Attend court appearances and make child abuse reports when required
Requirements:
- A High School Diploma Equivalency or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Six months related experience and/or training certificate from college or technical school
- A current California driver's license
- Knowledge of database software, word processing software, and contact management systems
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a friendly manner and develop alternative solutions
- Ability to work well in group problem-solving situations and use reason when dealing with emotional topics
