Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Assistant Athletic Trainer role at Cal State Fullerton, located in Fullerton, CA. The Assistant Athletic Trainer will work collaboratively with the athletic training team and coaching staff to provide high-quality care for athletes, including injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and implementing strength and conditioning programs, assessing athletic injuries, coordinating care and treatment plans, and providing education on injury prevention. The role also involves maintaining accurate medical records for athletes and ensuring compliance with NCAA regulations and university policies.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Injury Prevention and managing athletic health and safety initiatives
- Expertise in Athletic Training, including evaluating and addressing athletic injuries
- Strong background in Strength & Conditioning programs to enhance athletic performance
- Experience with Rehabilitation methods for recovery and performance optimization
- Knowledge and application of techniques for Injury Prevention and risk management
- Certification by the Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Trainers
- First aid, AED, and CPR certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training, Sports Medicine, Kinesiology, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Experience with collegiate athletic programs is preferred
