What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legislative Assistant position at California State Senate?
Looking for enthusiastic and motivated individual to join Team Menjivar. This person will be responsible for several of my Legislative Proposals, as well as briefing me prior to policy committees and votes on the Senate Floor. They will be responsible for researching issues, writing amendments, developing coalitions, authoring briefing memos and statements, analyzing proposed legislation and policies, staffing me in meetings, and representing the constituents of Senate District 20. You must be comfortable in a fast paced enrivonemnt, with public speaking and adapting deadlines.
