Logistics clerk / Pharmacy Technician
Description of Responsibilities
The Logistics Clerk / Pharmacy Technician role requires strong relationships with the operations teams to act as a conduit to effective execution of new orders and implementation of custom customer solutions. This role is based in the corporate headquarters in Whittier, CA.
This position will rotate between working in the logistics department and as a pharmacy technician in the pharmacy department.

Responsibilities of the Logistics Clerk / Pharmacy Technician include the following:
- Processing of all incoming and outgoing deliveries
- Accurately input all medications into the pharmacy system and store them in the designated areas. All other products are documented and redirected to their respective locations.
- Coordinate with operations, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, drivers, drug inventory team, and other pharmacy personnel.
- Ensure packaging and delivery of medications timely and safely.
- Act as a liaison between operations, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, nursing, sales, and other internal and external teams to ensure all issues are addressed professionally, timely and accurately.
- Unload pallets, replenish shipping materials, and maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Provide feedback to operations, pharmacy teams and patients on details about their deliveries including but not limited to delivery times.
- Log and document all unsuccessful shipping occurrences or forward to Logistics Manager, as necessary.
- Represent the Organization in a professional, respectful and courteous manner in all interactions with patients, pharmacy personnel, leadership, vendors and providers.
- Work collaboratively with internal staff to ensure all issues are addressed timely.
- Performs accurate dispensing functions that are related to lot assignments, label printing, and supplies.
- Performs quality checks prior to pharmacist verification and organizing medications for pharmacist verification.
- Ensures all names and addresses are correct on each label and shipment.
- Confirms all pending dispenses and shipments at the end of day to ensure all work is completed appropriately.
- Orders / maintains an accurate inventory of nursing supplies, medications, shipping supplies, etc.
- Assists with inventory management and inventory count.
- Represent the pharmacy in a professional and courteous manner in all interactions with patients, providers, and peers.
- Work collaboratively with internal staff to ensure all issues are addressed in a timely manner.
- Additional tasks as required by management.
Qualifications and Preferred Skills
- Current, active and in good standing technician license/registration with the California State Board of Pharmacy
- Previous experience working in a Retail / Specialty Pharmacy / Physician Office / Insurance
- Organizational skills that are sufficient to maintain consistently accurate records.
- Ability to evaluate options and to make accurate, efficient and reliable decisions.
- Computer skills that include proficiency with spreadsheets, Microsoft Office, internet use and e-mail.
- Preferred knowledge of pharmacy operations.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Data entry skills required.
