Graveyard Warehouse Worker

Job Summary:

California Sierra Express is looking for a dependable Night Shift Warehouse Associate to help close out our overnight operations and prepare our warehouse for a successful start to the next day.

We're an expedited ground transportation company specializing in the movement of palletized freight throughout California and Nevada. This position plays an important role in maintaining a safe, organized, and secure warehouse while ensuring freight is accurately handled and staged for the day shift.

Responsibilities include:

• Load and unload palletized freight using a sit-down forklift
• Organize and stage freight for outbound routes
• Build and wrap pallets by hand when necessary
• Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards
• Maintain warehouse security and protect customer freight during overnight hours
• Help ensure the day shift starts with a safe, organized, and efficient warehouse

California Sierra Express has been in business for over 35 years. We operate six freight terminals in CA and one in Reno, NV. We're an overnight carrier that primarily serves international and domestic freight forwarders as a final mile Pick-Up and Delivery agent for shipments that travel from all over the globe by air, sea and land.

You'll be joining a local team of over 60 people all committed to providing the best service possible to our customers who trust Cal Sierra to move their shipments on-time and without damage all throughout the greater Bay Area.

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Valid Driver’s License, preferred.
3. Minimum of 6 months of warehouse experience.
4. Ability to effectively communicate in English; verbally and in writing.
5. Ability to demonstrate basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and some division.

Salary : $20 - $23
