The Belridge Complex Instrument Repair Team is seeking to fill an SRS-IR position by a candidate who is experienced in the maintenance of industrial electrical and instrumentation equipment (120V and below). Selected candidate will report to Belridge and may be required to drive to various field locations in the San Joaquin Valley.

Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, calibrate and improve equipment reliability of instrumentation (transmitters, actuators, meters, valves, etc.) at all Belridge Complex locations. Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems 120V and below
- Accept work “callouts” on nights and weekends to maintain critical equipment
- Record work history; conduct or participate in RCFAs
- Attend and actively participate in Instrumentation Team SDI huddles and meetings
- Work at all Belridge Complex locations and work independently with minimal supervision
- Use condition based predictive technologies to assess the condition of equipment as directed in preventive work orders
- Communicate effectively and provide necessary updates to keep leadership informed of activities, issues, etc.
- Maintain good working relationship with service and operations personnel
- Collaborate with process teams and HSE personnel to identify opportunities to mitigate and/or eliminate preventative maintenance work
- Identify and execute cost savings and process improvement concepts to aid in meeting company goals
- Troubleshoot and Repair PLC Systems
- Troubleshoot and lead on major instrumentation Maintenance
- Implement electrical and instrumentation best practices
- Provide operations with troubleshooting expertise on all instrumentation loop – perform loop checks
- Repair of positioners and valves as required by work order
- Rebuild and repair Kimray valves and Valcon actuators
- Complete documentation associated with regulatory work orders
- Safely perform LOTO per CRC safety requirements
- Assist in troubleshooting oil, gas and water system facilities problems
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience
- Valid Class C California Driver’s License required
- Experienced in the maintenance of industrial electrical and instrumentation equipment
- Experience using precision and diagnostic instruments, including laptops, to test, calibrate, electronic devices, equipment, and wiring
- Coordinating work assignments with operations
- Testing, troubleshooting, calibrating, diagnosing, and repairing low voltage (120 V or below) electrical equipment and instrumentation.
- Excellent diagnostic and repair skills for complex problems in instrumentation systems
- Demonstrate initiative to learn new skills, tackle challenges, and develop effective solutions independently.
- Proficient at using all test equipment associated with troubleshooting low voltage electrical equipment
- Skill in troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, calibrations, electronic, and PLC equipment
- Excellent PC skills and can effectively use all standard desktop applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Capable of troubleshooting simple ladder logic programs
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization
- Team oriented, flexible and able to work with minimal supervision
- Have a continuous improvement mindset and be driven to increase productivity and efficiency
- Utilize best practices and drive standardization across assets
- Highly motivated, self-directed and require minimal daily supervision
- Good at multi-tasking, time management and prioritization
- Knowledgeable of NEC, NFPA 70E, ISA and OSHA standards
- State of California Electrician Certificate
- Ability to stoop, stand, walk, pull, carry instruments, and climb stairs and ladders for extended period.
- Ability to lift, carry and pull up to 50lbs.
- Ability to work overhead for extended periods of time
- Ability to perform fine manipulations with hands and fingers
- Regular bending, crouching, pulling and kneeling to check equipment and gauges
- Ability to work significant amounts of time as required in completing job responsibilities
- Working environment includes exposure to extremely loud noises in field, hazardous Chemicals, and Hydrocarbons that may be under extreme pressure for which appropriate safety measures are required
