Claims Representative

JOB SUMMARY:

California Rent A Car, Inc is expanding our Claims Department and we are looking for an experienced Claims Representative to investigate, evaluate, and process claims for loss or damage vehicles. This position is responsible for communicating and working with customers, insurance carriers and all parties involved in a timely manner to ensure that all claims are handled and settled without delays.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·        Handle inbound calls and emails to set up claims and answer questions regarding claims.

·        Investigate loss and damage claims in accordance with customers and insurance carriers contracts

·        Process claims by gathering and analyzing all facts and documentation to determine liability in a timely manner

·        Follow up with appropriate parties to provide status updates to claimant until resolution of claim

·        Respond to claims escalations, perform research and coordinate with the Claims Manager to resolve and settle claims in a timely manner

·        Investigate, negotiate and propose claims settlement in accordance with company policy

·        File claims with insurance carriers or other appropriate parties

·        Communicate with policy holders, claimants, attorneys, medical providers and insurance carriers with exceptional verbal and written communication skills

·        Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPPA

·        Perform any other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

·        Must have a minimum of 1 years of work experience as a Claims Representative/related positions

·        Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills with the ability to resolve problems

·        Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work well with others in a team environment

·        Proficiency with Office applications

·        Recognize and attend to important details with accuracy and efficiency

·        Strong organizational and time management skills, driving tasks to completion

·        Self-motivated and able to work well with minimal supervision

·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·        Meets attendance and punctuality standards
