About the Role
PRN is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Hand Therapist to join our team. As a Hand Therapist, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional care and rehabilitation services to patients with hand injuries or conditions. This position requires specialized expertise in assessing, diagnosing, and treating hand-related issues, focusing on restoring function and improving patients' quality of life.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' hand injuries or conditions to determine the extent of impairment and develop treatment goals.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, utilizing various therapeutic techniques and modalities to improve hand function.
- Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, splinting, and other interventions to enhance hand mobility, strength, and dexterity.
- Educate patients on exercises, self-care techniques, and ergonomic principles to promote recovery and prevent further injury.
- Work closely with physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure a multidisciplinary approach to treatment.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and outcomes.
Skills & Qualifications
- Licensed Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist with specialization in hand therapy (CHT certification preferred).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in hand therapy or related field.
- Proficiency in conducting evaluations, developing treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of current trends and advancements in hand therapy.
