We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Flooring Installer to join our dynamic construction team. Responsibilities
- Measure and prepare job sites by reviewing blueprints, schematics, and project plans to determine the scope of work.
- Remove existing flooring materials carefully, including tile, carpet, or hardwood, using appropriate hand tools and power tools.
- Prepare subfloor surfaces through leveling, sanding, or applying underlayment to ensure a smooth foundation for new flooring.
- Install various flooring types such as tile laying, laminate, vinyl planks, or hardwood with precision and attention to detail.
- Use caulking, trim carpentry, and fixture installation techniques to finish edges and transitions seamlessly.
- Read schematics and blueprints accurately to follow design specifications and ensure proper layout.
- Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling debris and protecting surrounding areas from damage during installation or restoration projects.
Skills
- Extensive experience with flooring installation techniques across different materials.
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes to assess project needs accurately.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting schematics for precise execution of projects.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as chisels, hammers, pry bars, as well as power tools including saws and buffing equipment.
- Background in construction site experience with an understanding of safety protocols and site management.
- Ability to perform tile laying with precision while ensuring proper water damage restoration practices when necessary.
- Familiarity with restoration industry standards related to flooring repair and remodeling projects.
- Experience in cabinet installation, concrete finishing, construction painting, and water damage restoration is a plus.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and maintenance for long-lasting results.
