Job Summary
  • Advising for study abroad programs including Cal Poly Global programs and partner programs
  • Supporting pre-departure and program-specific orientations with materials and content
  • Assisting students through the application, pre-departure, and re-entry phases of study abroad
  • Providing support and ongoing mentoring to study abroad peer advisors
  • Supporting International Center events

Education and Experience
  • Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university in one of the behavioral sciences, public or business administration or a job related field. Two years of professional experience in one of the student services program areas or in a related field.
  • A master’s degree in a job related field may be substituted for one year of the professional experience.
  • Additional specialized experience during which the applicant has acquired and successfully applied the required knowledge and abilities may be substituted for the required education on a year for year basis.

Salary:

Anticipated Hiring Range: $29.32 per hour

Classification Range: $29.32 - $41.70 per hour

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Anticipated Hiring Range referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Classification Range may be broader than what the University anticipates paying for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).

Supplemental Information

Satisfactory completion of a background check (including a criminal records check) is required for employment.
