California Plastics is looking for a hungry, driven, and highly motivated Inside Sales Representative to join our team in our Irvine office.
This role is for someone who loves sales activity, knows how to communicate professionally by email and phone, and is excited by the idea of turning cold leads into real meetings with injection molders, OEMs, manufacturers, and purchasing teams across the country.
If you perform well you can be promoted to an outside sales rep with a business territory.
The main goal of this position is simple: fill the sales calendar with qualified opportunities.

California Plastics is a fast-growing resin distributor serving injection molders, OEMs, and manufacturers nationwide. We supply engineering, specialty, commodity, and custom plastic resins through a strong national supplier and warehouse network.

Responsibilities
The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for:
- Prospecting injection molders, OEMs, contract manufacturers, and industrial accounts daily.
- Sending a high volume of targeted prospecting emails.
- Making daily outbound phone calls to purchasing managers, engineers, operations managers, and decision makers.
- Setting qualified appointments for the outside sales team and company leadership.
- Following up consistently with cold, warm, and inactive leads.
- Researching companies, identifying the right contacts, and building a strong sales pipeline.
- Maintaining detailed notes and activity records in the CRM.
- Helping convert cold leads into active conversations, quote opportunities, and customer meetings.
- Working closely with the sales team to understand target customers, resin needs, and market opportunities.

Requirements
- Prior sales, inside sales, appointment setting, business development, or lead generation experience preferred.
- Strong phone and email communication skills.
- Ability to work full-time from our Irvine office.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- CRM experience preferred but not required.
- Experience selling to manufacturers, OEMs, distributors, industrial companies, or B2B customers is a plus.
- Plastics industry experience is a plus but not required. We are willing to train the right person.
