Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Therapist to join our team. This role is essential in providing high-quality mental health counseling to individuals across various demographics, but focused on perinatal clients and their families, including those trying to conceive, through 3 years postpartum. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health care, with experience in private practice. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will play a critical role in assessing patient needs, developing treatment plans, and delivering therapeutic interventions to support overall mental well-being.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' mental health needs through interviews and psychological testing.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and client goals.
- Provide mental health counseling to clients in various settings, including school environments and telehealth platforms.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions and support groups as needed.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes.
- Engage with families to provide guidance and support in child family counseling scenarios.
- Stay informed about best practices in mental health therapy and participate in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
- Valid licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with telehealth practices and technologies.
- Strong skills in assessment methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients effectively.
- A commitment to providing compassionate patient care while adhering to ethical standards in mental health practice.
- Ideal clients would have perinatal mental health training or background - either through pervious experience, or PMH-C.
