We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) with a strong interest in pain management to join our multidisciplinary care team. The PA will work under the supervision of a pain management physician, performing comprehensive assessments, diagnosing and treating patients with acute and chronic pain, and participating in ongoing care planning to improve patient quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct patient assessments including history, physical examination, and review of diagnostic tests.
- Develop and implement individualized pain management treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests in accordance with state regulations and supervision agreements.
- Perform in-office procedures (e.g., joint injections, trigger point injections) as appropriate to training and scope of practice.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, psychologists, and other providers to deliver holistic pain care.
- Provide patient education on medication management, lifestyle modifications, and treatment plans.
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA and clinical standards.
- Participate in case reviews, team meetings, and continuing education programs related to pain management.
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current PA license in [State].
- NCCPA certification required.
- DEA license and prescriptive authority in [State].
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in pain management, orthopedics, neurology, or a related specialty preferred.
- Proficiency in EMR systems and clinical documentation.
