As a Trailer Technician at California Overland, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of trailers, ensuring that all systems are functioning at peak performance. You will work with a team of dedicated professionals in a fast-paced environment, focusing on quality service and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fleet trailers, including diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical issues.
- Utilize hand tools and equipment to conduct repairs on transmissions, air brakes, and hydraulic systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards while operating heavy machinery and performing tasks.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively regarding vehicle status and maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
- Basic mechanical knowledge and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience preferred
- Ability to problem solve
- Comfortable using tools
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work well as a team
- Must have own basic tools or be able to acquire; company provides specialty tools
- Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
- Basic computer skills
