The Office of the Inspector General’s Human Resources Unit has one opening for an Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) to lead the Workforce Planning and Succession efforts for the OIG. This position will be independently responsible to lead the following areas:
- Lead the development and ongoing maintenace of workforce and succession plans across OIG, including the OIG Strategic Plan.
- Responsible for submitting the annual workforce analysis report to CalHR.
- Identify areas of significant underutilizations within OIG's workforce and determine if the cause is due to non-job-related barriers.
- Develop and implement an action plan to increase the representation of people with disabilities and set annual hiring goals.

Under the general direction of the Transactions Team Staff Services Manager I (SSM I), the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) serves as lead analyst for the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) workforce and succession management plan initiatives for the various programs we serve at OIG. The AGPA plays an essential role in the tracking, development, and retention of a skilled and diverse workforce to ensure the agency can deliver its critical missions now and in the future. The incumbent performs complex analytical tasks including developing workforce planning and succession management strategies; researching, identifying, and developing recruitment and retention goals to ensure a diverse workforce, and completing the annual workforce analysis.
This position is eligible for hybrid teleworking under Government Code 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California, with a minimum requirement of reporting to the office two days per week. This hybrid schedule is subject to change as needed and determined by management.
The designated Headquarters (HQ) for this position is in Sacramento County, and the selected candidate will be required to commute to their HQ office location as needed to meet operational needs. All commute expenses to the HQ location will be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
