The Position
Provides administrative and student support services, assists in the delivery of services and resources that enhance the student experience, and serves at the first point of contact for students. This position ensures the smooth day-to-day operations of the office, maintaining an organized, welcoming, and efficient environment. This position would be a part time role, 3 days a week in the office, Tues/Weds/Thurs, 8 am - 5pm
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet students, faculty, staff, and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
- Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls; take messages and respond to inquiries as appropriate.
- Assist students with general inquiries, providing information about student services, campus resources, and university policies.
- Maintain office operations, including managing supplies, organizing files, and ensuring common areas remain tidy and welcoming.
- Assist in planning, promoting, and executing student programs, events, and workshops.
- Maintain student records and files in compliance with university guidelines and confidentiality standards.
- Track participation data, assist with processing student forms, and support the registration process.
- Assist with processing student forms, including transcript requests, enrollment verifications, and change of major or address forms.
- Support the registration process, including data entry, course schedule updates, and filing.
- Perform other administrative duties and special projects as assigned.
The minimum requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college education preferred.
- Proven experience in a receptionist or customer service role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with courteous and professional phone etiquette.
- Ability to work remotely with reliable internet access and a quiet, distraction-free workspace.
- Proficiency in using virtual communication tools such as video conferencing and instant messaging platforms.
