SUMMARY
The California Institute of Advanced Management (CIAM) is a WSCUC accredited, non-profit graduate school located in Alhambra, California. CIAM’s approach to education provides apractical and hands-on approach to students who are there by equipped to lead and succeed in the industry. Our emphasis is on the application of the subject matter and the student’s ability to demonstrate the integration of the subject matter into their lives. The university’s mission is“to build upon the philosophy of Peter F. Drucker, through classroom and online learning, producing successful, responsible globally oriented leaders who are rooted in practice” using the principles of Management as a Liberal Art and business sub-disciplines to educate, train, and send out managers and leaders who are prepared and equipped for the needs of today’s organizations, communities, and society.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Teach graduate-level classes in the following modalities: face-to-face, online andhybrid.
- In-person classes are hybrid, with weekend sessions on campus.
- Online classes are asynchronous.
- Integrate the philosophy of Management as a Liberal Art into courses taught.
- Assist and provide direction to students in high-impact learning experiences.
- Develop curriculum.
- Serve on department and university committees as well as faculty governance.
- Conduct and publish original research.
- Attend faculty and university meetings.
- Participate in Management as a Liberal Art training sessions and discussions.
- Represent CIAM to external constituents by bridging the academic and business community with the university to further the focus on high-impact learning experiences for students.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Completed Ph.D. or DBA, in with specialization or extensive coursework in Accounting, Finance and/or Data Analytics from a regionally accredited university (official transcripts required with application).
- Minimum of 10 years of applied business experience in the profession related to the degree area and teaching area.
- Experience teaching and facilitating in person and online using various instructional methods.
- Familiarity with teaching via an LMS, experience with Canvas preferred.
- Demonstration of a life-long learner approach to the field and other subjects
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience developing or teaching in a DBA program
- Published research in degree area.

Also explain your thoughts on teaching to the needs of society today. Include examples, learning experiences, and ideals you have for your students as well as yourself.

Additional Information:
- Approved candidates will be invited first for a virtual interview, and then to our facilities in Alhambra, California, to present a lecture and participate in a series of individual and group interview sessions.
- Applicants residing in Southern California preferred. On-campus hours for teaching and institutional service are expected one day per week.

SALARY RANGE
$100,000.00-$115,000.00 per year. The salary range for this position is based on academic preparation, teaching experience, research publications, and industry experience
Additionally, CIAM’s Annual Safety and Security Report 2022-2024 report is available to you. This report is required by federal law and contains policy statements and crime statistics for the school. The policy statements address the school’s policies, procedures and programs concerning safety and security, for example, policies for responding to emergency situations and sexual offenses. Three years’ worth of statistics are included for certain types of crimes that were reported to have occurred on campus, in or on off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by the schooland on public property within or immediately adjacent to the campus.
