Job Description And Duties

Under the direction of the Procurement Manager (Supervisor I), the Analyst II serves as the Contract Analyst and is responsible for performing varied, complex, and technical administrative functions. The incumbent must adhere to ethical practices in accordance with all applicable statutes, departmental policies and procedures, standards and controls, and rules pertaining to delegated purchasing authority approved through Department of General Services (DGS) and is responsible for monitoring statewide changes and ensure GO-Biz is up to date on practices and procedures. The incumbent performs a broad range of complex work associated with GO-Biz BSU and is charged with ensuring that GO-Biz is implementing the best business practices in areas of responsibility.

Statement Of Qualifications Required

Interested individuals must submit a SOQ. The SOQ must be in 12-point font, single-spaced, and no more than 2 pages in length. The SOQ must address the following in numerical order; do not consolidate responses:

  • Describe your level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products such as Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook and give examples of how you have used such documents and programs in a work environment.
  • Describe your institutional knowledge of procuring goods and services. Include your level of expertise with FI$Cal, California State Contract Manual, California Contract Laws, procurement standard forms (STDs) LPA’s and Cal-Card, or your experience with other procurement systems.
  • Provide a detailed example of your experience with contracting. Explain your role, how you ensured compliance with policies or regulations, and how you managed timelines, documentation, or stakeholder communication throughout the process.
