POSITION SUMMARY
The Programs & Training Intern will support the development and execution of member-focused programs and trainings at California Farm Bureau. This part-time position (approximately 24 hours per week) will run from approximately June 1 through August 15.
This role works closely with department leadership to help build meaningful training opportunities, strengthen county engagement, and support initiatives that advance the organization’s mission.
This internship provides hands-on experience in program development, training coordination, and member engagement within a statewide agricultural organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the planning and execution of programs, county staff training, and member engagement
initiatives
- Assist in developing and organizing training materials, presentations, and resources
- Coordinate logistics for meetings, workshops, and events (scheduling, materials, communication)
- Conduct research to support program development, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Help track program participation, engagement metrics, and outcomes
- Draft and edit communications, including emails, program summaries, and promotional content
- Collaborate with staff and county Farm Bureau teams to support program delivery
- Provide general administrative and project support as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college/university program (agriculture, communications, business, public relations, or related field preferred)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and take initiative
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Canva or similar tools a plus
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Interest in agriculture, advocacy, or membership-based organizations
- Experience with event planning, leadership programs, or student organizations
- Familiarity with data tracking, surveys, or engagement tools
Hourly Wage: $20.00/hr.
